Platelets are the substances in the blood that reduce bleeding. Trombopag 50 mg (Eltrombopag Olamine) is also used for the treatment of severe aplastic anemia. It helps by increasing the number of cells in the patient’s bone marrow and thus helps create more platelets that work to reduce the risk of bleeding.

This medicine is used when there is a need to lessen or prevent the risk of bleeding in patients who have chronic immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP). It is a thrombopoietin agonist.
