Important Handling Instructions

Due to its cytotoxic nature, carboplatin should be handled-

  • • Wash off immediately if it comes in contact with the mucosal layer or the skin.
  • • Carboplatin gets precipitated with aluminum needles or IV sets and causes loss of potency.
