What is Cytarzer?
It is an anticancer medicine used in various types of blood cancers and solid tumors.
Uses of CytarzerÂ
• Advanced stage Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).
• Leukemia of the meningesÂ
• Lymphocytic/ No lymphocytic leukemia
• Refractory leukemia
How does it work?
It mimics DNA bases, inhibits DNA replication, and terminates the chain, causing cell death.

• Hair loss
• Skin rashes
• Liver dysfunctions
• Mouth sores
• Weakness
• Indigestion
• Anemia
• Neutropenia
Serious Side EffectsÂ
• Dose-dependent side effects –fever, pain, muscle painÂ

• Not to be used if any previous allergy or hypersensitivity to Cytarabine or any excipients.

Administration Instructions
• To be administered intrathecal, subcutaneous, or as a slow IV infusion.
