What is Cabozer?
Cabozer is a targeted therapy anticancer drug used for solid tumors.
Uses of Cabozer –
• Advanced Renal Carcinoma
• Hepatocellular Carcinoma
• Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma
• Differentiated Thyroid cancer
How does Cabozer Work?
• Carbozer inhibits Multiple Receptor tyrosine kinases, which are signal inducers for cell division and proliferation.
• It inhibits several enzymes – EGFR ,HER2, VEGFR,ALK, MET which are over-expressed in liver ,breast , blood and lungs.
• Slows tumor growth
• Inhibits blood supply to the tumor
• Reduces the spread of the tumor
Common Side Effects of Cabozer
Nausea, vomiting, fatigue, high blood pressure, mucosal ulcers, hand-foot syndrome, loss of appetite.
Serious Side-Effects
• Severe bleeding or hemorrhage
• Elevation of the liver enzymes
• GIT perforation- hole in the GIT wall
• Cardiovascular risk – clots and strokes
Contraindications
• Not to be used in patients with prior hypersensitivity to the drug or its excipients.
• Breastfeeding mothers
• Pregnant women

To be cautiously used in patients with –
• Bleeding disorder
• Cardiovascular diseases
• Hepatic, renal impairment
• Recent surgery or wound
• Disorders of the stomach
