What is Dacarzer?
It is a cytotoxic anticancer that is used to treat cancers of the lymph and the skin.
Uses of Dacarzer -
Skin cancer
Hodgkin lymphoma
Tissue sarcoma

Breast cancer
Lung cancer
How does Dacarzer work?
It inhibits DNA replication and synthesis.
Causes Cancer cell death
Contraindications:
It should be used cautiously in patients who have had hypersensitivity in the past or people having hepatic and renal insufficiency.
Pregnant and breastfeeding women.
Toxicities:
Myelosuppression (Bone Marrow Suppression)
Hepato-toxicity
Secondary malignancies
Local tissue necrosis
Precautions:
Renal and hepatic compromised patients.

Common side effects:
- Nausea and vomiting
- Reduced appetite
- High risk of infection
- Bruising and bleeding
- Anemia (low red blood cell count)

Warning:

Dacarbazine given intravenously may sometimes leak outside the vein, causing pain, tissue damage, local bruising, and flare.
Storage
It should be stored at 2-8 degrees Celsius, protected from light.
