Erlonat 150 (Erlotinib) is an anti-cancer drug. It is a drug used to treat non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and also for pancreatic cancer.

Especially the Erlonat 150 (Erlotinib) is used for NSCLC with conversions, i.e., mutations in the EGFR (epidermal growth factor receptor). This tablet is prescribed to the victims who have cancer of the lungs which is at a severe developed stage or metastatic lung cancer. This drug is identified as a tyrosine kinase inhibitor and acts by inhibiting the growth of cancerous cells. Administration of Erlonat 150 (Erlotinib)

Strictly take the medication as prescribed by the physician. The route of administration of this drug is oral. It must be taken at least one hour before or after two hours of the meals. A person should not consume this medicine with meals. Swallow the drug as a whole with a water sip and do not chew or grind the medicine. According to the patient's condition, the doctor will prescribe the dose of the medicine and go on with the medicine as long as the doctor recommends, obtaining better and effective results. Cautions while taking Erlonat 150 (Erlotinib)

• Chronic vomiting and diarrhea

Some rare side effects of Erlonat 150 (Erlotinib)

• Gastrointestinal tract toxicity- may result in the serious or lethal gastrointestinal tract perforations
• Ocular disorders may result in corneal lesions
• Ingrown hairs, like eyelashes
• Pulmonary toxicity, due to which the following may be caused:
• Bronchiolitis obliterans with organizing pneumonia (BOOP)
• Fatal asymmetric interstitial lung disease
• Interstitial pneumonitis
• Pulmonary fibrosis
• Interstitial pneumonitis is characterized by cough and intensified dyspnea. This condition may be serious and must be examined among patients whose breathing acutely worsens.

Skin toxicity can also be caused:

• Bullous
• Blistering of the skin
• Exfoliating skin conditions (some may be fatal)
• Deadly epidermal necrolysis
