What is Ledikast?

Ledikast is a combination of two potent antivirals, used in Chronic Hepatitis C infections.

Primary treatment for hepatitis C.

Used previously failed treatments

HIV co-infections

How does Ledikast work?

Ledipasivir - inhibit NS5A protein

Sofosbuvir - inhibits the NS5B polymerase enzyme

Both the drugs inhibit viral DNA replication and multiplication at different sites.

Common Side Effects

Serious Side Effects

Severe Bradycardia (when taken with amiodarone)

Hepatitis B flare-ups occur in previous hepatitis B infections.

Liver failure in advanced liver disease.

Anemia, when combined with ribavirin

Changes in urination, swelling, and fatigue

Confusion, depression
