Valren Tablet
Valren Tablet is prescribed to adult patients with AIDS who have contracted cytomegalovirus (CMV) retinitis due to CMV infection. It’s also given to those who’ve had organ transplants from people who were infected with cytomegalovirus.
You should take Valren Tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Even if you feel better, continue taking the medication for the whole duration. If you forget to take a dosage, just take it as soon as you remember. If it is close to the time for the following dosage, however, it is best to forgo the missed one and resume your usual dosing plan. Do not increase your dosage. If you’re taking this medication, it’s important to stay hydrated so that you don’t risk dehydration or kidney damage.
Fever, diarrhoea, vomiting, anaemia, low white blood cell and low platelet level are some of the most prevalent adverse effects that might occur. If any of these negative effects last for more than a few days, you should let your doctor know. If you are pregnant, intending to become pregnant, or are nursing, you should consult your doctor.

How to use

Breast feeding – SEEK THE ADVICE OF YOUR DOCTOR
Use of Valren Tablet while breast-feeding is most likely harmful to the infant. The medicine may enter into the breast milk and harm the baby, according to a minimal amount of human data.
Driving – SEEK THE ADVICE OF YOUR DOCTOR
Valren Tablet may impair alertness, impair eyesight, or make you sleepy and dizzy while driving. If these symptoms appear, do not drive.
Kidney – SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
In patients with severe kidney disease, Valren Tablet should be taken with caution. Valren Tablet dosage may need to be adjusted. Please seek medical advice.
Liver – CAUTION
Patients with liver condition can safely take Valren Tablet. In these patients, it may not be necessary to change the dosage of Valren Tablet, however there is very limited data to support this. Please seek medical advice.
Tips
Take your missed Valren Tablet dosage as soon as you remember. However, if your next dosage is approaching skip the missed one and return to your regular schedule instead. It is not recommended to take two doses of the medication at the same time.
